Saturday & Sunday March 17 & 18, 2012 Join us for the two day celebration Rain or shine All Festival activities under tents in CentrePointe Immediately following the Shamrock Shuffle 3K Race Race starts at 8:00AM Festival 1:00PM to 9:00PM Parade 3:00PM Downtown - Main Street The parade will form on Midland Ave, march down Main Street and will turn left on South Upper and proceed to Vine where it will end. The Bluegrass Irish Society was formed in 1980 and initiated the St. Patrick’s Day Parade as its first activity. The parade gained instant credibility when then Governor John Y. Brown and first lady Phyllis George Brown co-sponsored it and arranged to have Ed McMahon from the Johnny Carson Show to be our first Grand Marshal. The rest, as they say, is history.
