The main event is the parade which starts at 11:00 a.m. in Uptown Butte. There is is music and entertainment throughout the day in several establishments all over Butte. The Edmonton Bagpipers are one of the main entertainers. Thousands descend on Butte in March to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The holiday starts off with the Finnish St. Urho’s day, and carries on the next day with the Saint Patricks day parade, corned beef and cabbage, green beer, and leprechauns of all sizes. Don’t miss the Irish step dancers, bagpipers, and the annual Friendly Sons of St. Patrick dinner.
