South Boston Satrick's Day Parade Parade starts at 1:00 pm. and will feature marching bands and pipe bands from throughout North America. The parade travels through South Boston - Boston's most Irish neighborhood. Since 1901 this parade has become a prominent part of South Boston's history. Southie's annual wearin' of the green steps off from the Broadway T Stop proceeding down West Broadway to East Broadway to East 4th, to 5th Street, and around Thomas Park. Marchers continue to Telegraph Street to Dorchester Street ending at Andrew Square. The South Boston St. Patrick's Parade is Listed as the second largest parade in the country, being viewed by nearly 600,000 to one million people every year, in addition to having the entire parade seen on Live TV.
