The 2013 Ocean County Saint Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off at Noon on Saturday March 9, 2013 in beautiful Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The parade begins at on the Boulevard and goes 1- 1/4 miles long starting at the Seaside Park border and ending at Sampson Avenue. The rain date scheduled for the next day. This is a popular parade, last year over 75,000 people watched. With a reputation as “The Greenest Parade in All of New Jersey” the parade set record numbers last year exceeding 75,000 spectators of all ages along the Boulevard just one block from the Atlantic Ocean. An annual fun family event the Parade marks the unofficial start of the Tourist season in Ocean County. Restaurants and Pubs are open early for breakfast and lunch, and weather permitting many of the Boardwalk attractions are open as well. People are encouraged to arrive early this year as construction on the inbound lanes on the Route 37 bridge will close one lane in that direction.
