The "Irish Cougar Hunter"
Before you hunt an Irish cougar, you mUst understand the Irish cougar and its ways. Unlike the cougars of the wild, or the common urban cougar, this species ignores all softer, and more experienced prey; it seeks only the young, strong and athletic.
Irish Cougar Facts:
This solitary but social cat has a vast range, extending from Yukon in Canada to the southern Andes of South America.
There is a considerable variation in color and size of cougars across the large range of habitats. The Irish cougar is on average more agressive than the others of its species, but is not typically counted among the "big cats" as it cannot roar.
Though quite capable of sprinting, the Irish cougar is typically an ambush predator.
It has a flexible spine which aids its conquest technique.
The Irish cougar has the largest range of any wild cat. Hunted almost to extinction in the United States and eastern Canada, the Irish cougar has made a determined comeback, with an estimated 30,000 in the eastern United States.
